Nahum 1:7 The video provides insight and encouragement into God protection. The book of Nahum was written around the fall of the Assyrian empire. The name Nahum means “comforter,” lived in a town called Alqosh in Northern Iraq. The video briefly shares insight into the verse in Nahum 1:7. The verse provides comfort and encouragement. You can run to God in your time of trouble and rest in he will be your refuge.
Hi This Barry Tarlton, thank you for joining me today for the scripture verse. The verse rings of hope. First and foremost God is good all the time, God is good. The verse comes from Nahum chapter 1 verse 7. God is good, a stronghold to run to in a day of trouble. God knows those who trust and take refuge in him. What happens when you run to God to be your stronghold? The action shows God you recognize his strength and grace. He will provide insight and understanding for you to use so that you can navigate thru your day of trouble. This verse reminds me of this psalm credited to David, who probably wrote the psalm as he reflected on the time Saul sent soldiers to watch David’s house in order to kill him. Psalm 59:9-10 from the (New Living Translation) You are my strength; I wait for you to rescue me, for you, O God, are my fortress. 10In his unfailing love, my God will stand with me. He will let me look down in triumph on all my enemies. To obtain the spirit of God for all the gifts of that God Holy spirit offers, he ask that you believe in his Son Jesus Christ who he sent to die for you and I so that we can be reconciled to him. Dear Lord thank you for the gift of your word and your Son Jesus Christ, I ask you to watch over us and continue to guide us thru this journey we are embarked on. Let our actions, words and deeds glorify you. In Jesus name I pray Amen.
